2026 Swearing-In Ceremony Highlights – See the Photos!

What a night! Our 2026 State Bar of New Mexico officers were sworn in at the New Mexico Supreme Court on Dec. 10 on a beautiful winter day in Santa Fe. 2026 President Allison H. Block-Chavez, President-Elect Lucy H. Sinkular, and Secretary-Treasurer Tomas J. Garcia were sworn in by New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice David K. Thomson and were welcomed into their new officer roles by Justice Michael E. Vigil, Justice C. Shannon Bacon and Justice Julie J. Vargas. After the ceremony, past State Bar of New Mexico Presidents Gerald G. “Jerry” Dixon, Carolyn Wolf, Benjamin I. Sherman, Erinna M. “Erin” Akins and 2025 President Aja N. Brooks handed the symbolic presidential gavel over to Allison H. Block-Chavez during the celebratory reception. We are looking forward to a great year of growth and progress with our new officers taking the lead in 2026!
