MCLE Procedures for Annual Renewal Qualification (Effective January 1, 2023)
Effective January 1, 2023, for credits earned in 2023, the CLE Tracking Committee will no longer accept individual CLE submissions throughout the year for approval. Members will be required to track their own MCLE credits to qualify for annual membership renewal. For your convenience in tracking your own credits, a certificate of compliance form is provided that will assist you when submitting proof of compliance with your annual membership renewal beginning with the 2024 renewal cycle. The CLE Tracking Committee will retain the responsibility of responding to members’ inquiries regarding qualification of CLE programs; however, it is ultimately your responsibility to become familiar with the MCLE Guidelines and to ensure that the CLE programs for which you are claiming credit are substantive programs that comply with those guidelines. The CLE Tracking Committee will perform audits of members’ submissions to ensure compliance.

The 2022 CLE Totals table summarizes credit hours earned in 2022 to date and carryover credits from 2021 to show total credits available for renewal. Credits are typically updated by the 10th of each month. Credits current through 1/16/2023.
2022 CLE Credits Table | 2022 CLE Totals Table IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL DIVISION MEMBERS: It is the member’s responsibility to obtain a certificate of attendance for any seminar attended and submit it for credit to the Division CLE Tracking Committee. Even though you may be continually advised by the person at the registration table that your CLE credits will be reported to the State Bar of New Mexico – they are not reported to the Division. The State Bar of New Mexico only records CLE credit for attorneys – not paralegals. You may print the Sponsor Certification Form from our web site and take it with you when attending seminars, or you may use the certificate of attendance provided for attorneys in the seminar materials. If you do not obtain and submit a certificate of attendance, or submit a Sponsor Certification Form, you will not receive CLE credit from the Division. The sign-in sheets for luncheon seminars and any other seminars sponsored by the Division are the only seminars that will be recorded without the need to obtain and submit a certificate of attendance.
CLE Programs will be posted as they are scheduled. Please e-mail CLE topic and/or presenter suggestions to PD-CLECoord@sbnm.org.
