For Volunteer Attorneys

The Young Lawyers Division invites you to participate in the 2026 Ask-A-Lawyer Law Day Call-In program throughout the state. We are asking for limited in-person volunteer participation at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque or at Kemp Smith Law in Las Cruces. Remote telephonic participation throughout the state is also needed. CLE credit for volunteering is available!

Breakfast will be provided for in-person volunteers.

An additional 30 volunteers will be needed to participate remotely via call forwarding. The State Bar of New Mexico will forward calls during this time frame to your telephone number of choice so you can volunteer from your home or office! Remote volunteers will be provided eGiftcards.

In-person volunteer orientation and set-up will begin at 8:30 a.m. (MT) for orientation, setup and breakfast. Telephonic volunteers should be ready to receive calls by 9 a.m. (MT). All volunteers will receive additonal instructions via email ahead of time.

Questions from the public may include the following areas of the law: family law, landlord/tenant disputes, consumer law, personal injury, collections and more. Don't forget to indicate your practice area and whether you intend to volunteer in-person or remotely in the sign-up form using the button below.
