The Chief Judge is the leader of the Judicial Branch of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. The Chief Judge is responsible for fairly and impartially hearing and deciding matters within the jurisdiction of the Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal Court pursuant to the Pueblo of Pojoaque Law and Order Code and custom and traditions of the tribe.
The Tribal Court Judge must consistently demonstrate the ability to analyze difficult and complex facts and issues and to issue clear oral and written decisions in a timely manner. Moreover, the Judge must consistently demonstrate judicial knowledge and temperament.

Under the administrative supervision of the Government Affairs Director or his/her designee, the Family Legal Assistance Attorney represents, advises, and advocates for Laguna families and elders who cannot afford legal representation on issues affecting economic security, health, substance abuse, and education. The State-Tribal Child Welfare Attorney I will be responsible to act as the legal representation for the Pueblo of Isleta Social Services, Truancy Department, in matters where court and/or legal interventions are needed to ensure the safety and well-being of the Pueblo of Isleta community members. The position will also assist the State-Tribal Welfare Attorney II in implementing and executing the Child Welfare Program which consists of collaboration with the State regarding the Indian Family Protection Act.
Under the direct administrative supervision of the Government Affairs Director, serves as an in-house legal advisor, representative, and counselor.
