About the Bar Bulletin

The Bar Bulletin is the official publication of the State Bar of New Mexico. It is published bi-weekly. It includes announcements of deadlines and events (Notices), a calendar of MCLE approved continuing legal education courses, a list of published and unpublished Court of Appeals opinions, rule-making activity, Supreme Court and Court of Appeals opinions, display advertising, classified advertising and editorial content. The circulation of approximately 9,000 includes all practicing attorneys in New Mexico, court officials, federal judges, libraries, other subscribers and advertisers. 

The  Bar Bulletin has been in circulation since 1962. Electronically archived issues are available through 2004 on the "Archives" page. Bound hard copy archives are available through 1962 at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. To report broken links or to request access to an older issue, email notices@sbnm.org.

Members can receive the Bar Bulletin electronically or by hard copy. To change your subscription preferences, email notices@sbnm.org.

Advertising Opportunities

The Bar Bulletin has a loyal readership of attorneys, judges and court staff. Advertise your services or job postings in our affordable and popular classifieds. Article Submissions

Contributions and announcements are welcome, but the State Bar reserves the right to select material to be published. Read the Editorial Policy and Submission Guidelines through the links on the left for details.
 

Continuing Legal Education Calendar

All New Mexico MCLE approved courses can be placed in the Bar Bulletin CLE Calendar. Send the following information to notices@sbnm.org: 1) program date, 2) course title, 3) credits available (general and ethics), 4) course type (live, webcast, telecast, etc.), 5) course location, 6) course provider, and 7) registration instructions.
 

Cover Artwork

Each week, the Bar Bulletin features an artist on the cover. To learn more about how to submit artwork for the cover, choose the "Cover Art" link on the left.
 

Hearsay/In Memoriam

Submit press releases and announcements for inclusion in the Hearsay section. The In Memoriam section honors deceased attorneys. Send submissions (and photos if available) to notices@sbnm.org. Notices should be no longer than 150 words and include contact information. The Bar Bulletin reserves the right to edit submissions for length and style.

Notices

The Notices section is the Bar Bulletin's free announcement section for the State Bar, courts, local and voluntary bars and other organizations with updates and events significant to the legal community. Notices generally include announcements. For more details, refer to the Editorial Policy. Contact notices@sbnm.org for details about submission.
