The ABA Free Legal Answers Clinic Set for Oct. 25
The New Mexico State Bar Foundation and the State Bar of New Mexico’s Young Lawyers Division will host the ABA Free Legal Answers Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. The clinic gives Young Lawyers Division members an opportunity to complete pro bono hours by assisting with ABA Free Legal Answers open cases. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and will receive free brunch while learning to navigate the online platform. State Bar Foundation Helpline attorneys will also be on site to provide substantive guidance as needed.

Consumer Debt/Bankruptcy Virtual Workshops
Get answers to questions about repossessions, foreclosures, collection issues, bankruptcy and more. The free presentation includes a presentation by a volunteer attorney, an open question and answer period and a one on one consultation with an attorney. Divorce Options Virtual Workshops
Attendees will learn how to save time, money and stress at a the State Bar's free Divorce Options Workshop. The virtual workshop includes a presentation by a volunteer attorney, materials on divorce and an open question-and-answer period. This virtual event is a free community service open to the public. Common Legal Issues for Senior Citizens (LREP Workshops)
The Legal Resources for the Elderly Program (LREP) presents free legal workshops. Seniors, family members and others who work with seniors are invited to attend. Topics include powers of attorney, advance health care directives, estate planning and long-term Medicaid planning. After the workshops, an attorney will be available to execute powers of attorney and advance health care directives (R.S.V.P. required).
